DIrector Biography
Olivier Nelli began in France with a fascination for fantasy, music, and handmade images. After film school and his first short, Spirit, he was drawn into the noise and energy of live music, where concerts, videos, and underground culture became his proving ground.
Behind the camera and in the edit room, he shaped more than fifty live recordings, building a style full of movement, atmosphere, and performance.
From there, he carried that same restless energy into documentaries, music films, and dark genre fiction.
Director Statement
Nelli’s cinema is driven by contrast: the raw force of underground culture, the precision of editing, and the poetic darkness of fantasy and horror. His work seeks to give form to marginal worlds, intense emotions, and unsettling stories, using genre not only to provoke fear, but to reveal hidden truths about identity, difference, and human imagination.
