Director Statement

All too often we see films that tackle mental health from an outside perspective. Politely patting those afflicted on the head and explaining how 'things are'. In this film, we attempt to show another version of this story: the never ending battle between a person in duress, their illness, and the system in place that claims to be helping them. Why horror? Because this experience is horrific. In fact, the scariest things in this movie really happened. More than this, viewers openly wonder if she's making it up? or if this really happened to her? But Isn't that the point? These comments and questions are the very ones sufferers face on a daily basis. 'Isn't it all just in my head? ''You'll be fine, you just need to imagine yourself in a different light'. Maybe... or maybe if the physical world reflected their inner turmoil it would be just what the doctor ordered...
